A magical reading & crafty morning

Diwali Family Story-telling

Little ones and grown-ups: settle in. Spend a morning with much-loved children’s author, Chitra Soundar, creator of Nikhil & Jay on CBeebies. Little minds will wander through the wondrous world of Diwali with a story-time reading from her two books: A Garland of Lights and Shubh Diwali. Then, get arts and crafty with make-your-own festive greeting cards.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Storytelling. Old-world Diwali tales across India, spoken aloud.
  • Making. Hands-on festive card-making (materials provided).
  • Munching. Bottomless chai for grown-ups, juice and mango lassi for little ones, bun maska for all.

Stay on afterwards, if you please: tables are available for breakfast.
